In the late 1980s, Muriel Colber travels to Spain to research her thesis on Jesús de Galíndez, a Basque exile who mysteriously disappeared in New York in 1956. But what begins as an academic investigation soon turns into a political and criminal conspiracy. Those responsible for Galíndez's disappearance will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.
